Speciality Oils

QUENCHING OILS (SM Type) are recommended for use in normal quenching operations on a wide variety of steel parts such as nuts, bolts, ball bearings and certain types of brake drums. These oils are suitable in situations where lower quenching speed is desired.

RUSTIL OILS are recommended for on contact with metal surfaces protect against corrosion by acting as an impervious barrier to air and moisture, namely by adsorption or by superficial oxide formation. The film of these temporary corrosion preventives can be easily removable from the metal surfaces by wiping with cloth soaked in common petroleum solvents, such as white spirit and kerosene. These are suitable for application by dipping or spraying at room temperature.
